Trail Adopters

Without the help of the community, it would be impossible to maintain the C.R.T. Many people have adopted segments of the trail. To find out how to become a trail adopter or to train, please contact us. The following sections of trail are still open for adoption:

Vershire (3 sections open)
Flagpole Hill to Taylor Valley Road (1.2 miles)
Hawkins Mtn to Tenney Hill Road (.9 miles)
Ely Mine Road to VAST 5 at Vershire/WF line 2.3 miles (1.6 trail, .5 log road, .2 snowmobile trail)

West Fairlee (2 sections open)
Austin Road to Southworth Park (.9 mile road walk via Westshire School)
King Hill Road to Blood Brook Road (1.7 miles)

Fairlee (1 section open)
Lake Morey Road to Orford Bridge (2.1 mile road walk)

Orford (4 sections open)
Bridge to Academy Trail (1 mile road walk)
Academy to Townshed Road (.8 miles)
Townshed Road to Tillotson Falls Road (road walk)
Tillitson Falls Road to Norris Road*

After you hike your section of the trail clearing blowdowns, brushing back new growth, and cleaning waterbars and drainage ditches, please provide us information on the following items. This information helps us match grants and plan work crew days.

A) Missing or damaged signs, or signs needed

B) Blowdowns you could not deal with

C) Disallowed uses (ATVs, etc.)

D) Washouts or any other serious problems

E) Blazes needing painting (special blaze paint can be provided)

F) Anything else significant
