Trail Closing Notices (Still Effective Winter 2017)

A printable map with updated trail closings can be found here

Closed: Patterson Mountain to Hawkins Mountain - The Cross Rivendell Trail between Patterson Mountain and Hawkins Mountain in Vershire is currently closed due to trail conditions. We are working to make the trail in Vershire accessible again as soon as possible. Until then, please refrain from using the trail in that location. Hawkins Mountain remains accessible from the west, from Colton Hill, and Patterson Mountain remains accessible from the east, from Vershire Center Road.

Closed: King Hill Road to Bloodbrook Road - The Cross Rivendell Trail is currently closed at the end of King Hill Road headed towards Blood Brook Road. Alternative route: It is a nice hike to go from Middlebrook Road and turn right (instead of left) on King Hill Road and come out on Blood Brook RD near the intersection of 244. It will be, however, 1-2 miles to get back to the Baldtop trail site on Bloodbrook Rd.

Closed: Bridge east of Middlebrook Road
