Membership FAQs

Why Become a Member of the RTA?
What Memberships with the RTA are critical and directly support trail maintenance, events, insurance for landowners, the trail coordinator position, and other essential services.

Are there Membership Benefits?
RTA Quarterly Newsletter / Email Updates on Events and Trail Conditions / A Vote at the Annual Meeting / Special Discounts Days with Local Business / Special Deals on Memberships and Maps (see below)

When Should I Become a Member of the RTA?
Memberships are welcome at any time of the year and always include an invitation to the next RTA Annual Meeting in April. To maximize membership benefits people are encouraged to become members in spring, for the upcoming year.

What is the Difference Between a Membership and Donations?
Many of our supporters respond to our requests for donations at other times of year, particularly the Ramble and our Year-End Appeal, and this support is crucial to our programs. But we extend membership benefits only to those who specifically become members – typically through our annual membership drive in March/April. In addition, all landowners who have signed agreements for trail sections that are currently in use are automatically made members, with our grateful thanks.

The Rivendell Trails Association would like to thank all its members for their generous support through the years. We have grown our membership base to over 175 individuals and families in addition to over 60 landowners who share their land. Landowners who have signed permission agreements with the RTA are automatically members free of charge, though additional donations are gratefully accepted .

Other contributions gratefully accepted
